South Darwin Rugby Union Football Club
South Darwin Rugby Union Football Club is one of the Northern Territory's oldest rugby clubs. It was one of the foundation clubs established in 1976 and an innaugural grand finalist. Souths won the Darwin premiership in the second year of competition (1977) and went on to win several more over the decades. Souths has always been a tough, no nonsense club full of characters. They have provided many representative players to the NT since their inception and one of their claims to fame is that they had former Wallabies coach Eddie Jones as a player coach in the 1980s.
