Juniors

There is a strong junior competition in Darwin with most clubs fielding a range of junior grades from Under 7 to Under 17. Junior rugby matches in Darwin are played at Austar Rugby Park on Friday nights. The season runs from late March to early September with a four week break over June/July for the NT school holidays.

Clubs usually have sign-on days in Feburary and start junior training soon after. Information regarding sign-on days for individual club's junior grades will be posted on this site once dates are decided.

Parents or guardians are required to register junior players with a club of their choice. They must provide proof of age for the child if they are new to the club. Acceptable documentation is either a birth certificate or a passport .

Coaching Junior Rugby

Kids Rugby provides the fundamentals for coaches and referees involved in the modified games of Rugby.

Three types of courses are offered - Coaching Kids Walla Rugby, Coaching Kids Mini and Midi Rugby and Refereeing Kids Mini and Midi Rugby.
