Wednesday 6th October PALMERSTON HIGH - CHAMPIONS OF 2010 NTRU SCHOOLS SEVENS CUP Palmerston High is the winning school of the inaugural NTRU Schools 7s Cup after defeating Marrara Christian School in the Senior Boys’ Final and Sanderson Middle School in the Junior Girls division. Palmerston also finished as runners-up in the Senior Girls and Junior Boys divisions, losing to Combined Schools and Taminmin College respectively. The Finals for all divisions were played during the 2010 Oceana 7s Championships at Austar Park on October the 1st and 2nd, with Finalists determined during the Schools 7s Cup tournament on Wednesday 22nd of September. More than 200 schoolboys and schoolgirls from 21 teams competed during this event, across four divisions. Most major Darwin schools were represented in addition to Taminmin College, Palmerston High School, and Katherine High and St Joseph’s from the Katherine region. Palmerston High was named as the winning school, after accruing the most total points across all divisions.
